Will is a native of the bay area, where he has performed and recorded extensively. He began his musical training with piano at age 9, switched to drums at 18 and began playing professionally at 19. With bands such as Upside Down and Soul Commitment, Will has performed in such bay area venues as Fibbar Magees, Mountain Charlie's, Boswell's, and Fanny & Alexander's to packed rooms. His biggest audience however, was when he played on the steps of San Francisco City hall to a crowd of fifteen thousand. In addition, he has also performed on television and radio.

One of the highlights of his career was placing in the top 15 (out of over 1700 participants) in the Neil Peart/Modern Drummer drum solo competition.

Now he can be heard Rocking out with the Cocktail Monkeys.
